la vida peruana

Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life. - Jack Kerouac

pacca goodbye, part 1

For those of you who do not already know, I have decided to come back to the US in March, instead of working in Cusco until August.  I have had a phenomenal time here in Peru but it is time for me to move on and start something else.

On Thursday, I had my first round of good-byes.  Because the students at Pacca rotate every 2 weeks, this last Thursday was my last day with my 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders.

They cried.  I cried.

They sang songs and danced for me, then made me dance as well.
